If you’re a fan of alternative hip-hop, you outta know Del the Funky Homosapien.
The Oakland, Calif. native has a career spanning over two decades. In addition to his many solo albums which showcase his unique blend of hip-hop and funk, Del has collaborated with El-P and Dan the Automator, contributed songs to the popular Tony Hawk video game series, and provided the raps on “Clint Eastwood,” the seminal hit for the Gorillaz. And that’s barely scratches the surface.
Del will be performing at the Isis Music Hall on August 15, where he will treat audiences to his effortless flow, whip-smart wit and intoxicating grooves. So wash your hair, brush your teeth — but don’t even think about missing out on this one. Or else you’ll be funky. (And not in the good way.)
Del the Funky Homosapien will be at the Isis Music Hall on August 15 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information, call 575-2737 or visit www.isisasheville.com.
