Grass roots

Self-described “grass powered techno boogie” outfit Brushfire Stankgrass performed as part of Moog Music’s AHA AVL showcase on Feb. 13, 2013.

Xpress is partnering with Moog Music to curate the showcase in its current season, which launched in October with Total War. Watch for that video (to be posted in January) and others to be hosted on the Xpress website. As a teaser, we’re finishing out the year with videos of Brushfire Stankgrass, Doc Aquatic (video posted here) and Razor + Blade (look for it in late December) from AHA AVL’s previous season.

The 2013/2014 season includes Comet West on Wednesday, Dec. 11; Decent Lovers on Wednesday, Jan. 8; Morbids on Wednesday, Feb. 12; and Hermit Kings on Wednesday, March 19. The live performance are free but by invite. To attend, send an email to aha.avl@moogmusic.com.
