Craggie Brewing Company offers pizza, discounted brews, live music and a chance to win tickets to the sold-out Warren Haynes Christmas Jam at its upcoming benefit for MANNA FoodBank. Festivities kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, with all proceeds and food donations supporting the local nonprofit dedicated to serving families in need by distributing food to 16 counties throughout Western North Carolina.
Here’s the deal: With a donation of either five nonperishable/canned goods or $5 cash, guests will receive two tickets that are good for either a slice of pizza, provided by Asheville Brewing Company, or a handcrafted Craggie beer. But that’s not all: guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Josh Stack and company will perform live music throughout the evening. MANNA’s Communications Director by day and musician by night, Stack says, “When you combine music with a good cause, it’s not only entertaining, but it’s a celebratory way to participate in giving rather than just dropping some food in the bucket.”
The Mountain Xpress “adds a little holiday spice” to the evening as well, says James Fisher, Director of Business Development. In addition to warm pizza, cold beer and live tunes, participants will be entered in a raffle to win a pair of tickets to the Christmas Jam, happening Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Asheville Civic Center. Fisher will be on hand to draw and announce a winner.
Come on out and support MANNA’s mission to helps alleviate hunger in our community.
