• Attention authors: The Jean Ritchie Fellowship in Appalachian Writing is now accepting submissions through Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2008. Send the $5 fee (make your check out to made out to LMU Jean Ritchie Fellowship) along with no more than 10 pages of poetry or no more than 20 pages of fiction or nonfiction, a one-page cover letter and two-page statement of purpose answering the following questions: What does Appalachia mean to you?
