Matt and Ted Lee can bake a red velvet cake, write compelling tales about collards and — as A&E reporter Alli Marshall‘s delicious story in today’s Xpress proves — make great conversation. Are there any better candidates for a culinary crush?
The khaki-clad Lee Brothers are adorable: Just check out the picture on the cover of their much lauded Southern Cookbook. And, even better, they’re available — for a limited time.
Matt and Ted are spending the day in Asheville, following an itinerary that gives away their New York roots: These boiled-peanut loving brothers may eat like Southerners, but they travel like Yankees. The two have no fewer than three appearances planned (details below). See you there!
4 to 6 p.m.: A dips-tasting and book-signing at Earth Fare South (1856 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, 210-0100).
7:30 p.m.: A dips-tasting, reading, Q&A and signing at Malaprop’s Bookstore (55 Haywood St., Asheville, 254-6734).
5 to 9 p.m.: A Lee Bros. cookbook night with a special menu or a la carte dinner at the Early Girl Eatery (8 Wall St., Asheville, 259-9292).
