Blowing up the Asheville fashion world was the Grand Finale Couture Runway Show for the four-day Asheville Fashion Week at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville.
The crowd cheered as the founders of Gage Talent Agency – sponsors of Asheville Fashion Week and responsible for providing the models, Brent and Jaime Hemsley, popped a bottle of champagne to announce their seventh wedding anniversary.
Models smiled and danced down the runway in designs by local fashion artists including Sacred Fashion and Anna Gordon, Southern Charm, House of Fabrics and Rebecca Freeman, Charles Josef and Angela Kim.
“It’s a great opportunity to meet other people,” says Tasha Lief, an Asheville designer.
A portion of the proceeds from each night of Asheville Fashion Week go to Autism Speaks.
