Love fashion? Saturday, Nov. 3 brings two stylish events to downtown Asheville.
• First: Vintage Moon Modern holds its Grand Opening Soiree at its former but renovated space, 82 N. Lexington Ave. According to a press release, Vintage Moon owner Gigi Renee developed new clothing designs and cultivated new ideas for her store during the shop’s renovation. “Vintage Moon Modern continues to feature classic vintage clothing and accessories as well as Renee’s personal designs hand crafted from vintage textiles. Additionally, Vintage Moon Modern will now offer home décor items for vintage living with a modern perspective.”
The opening is held from 4-8 p.m., with wine and locally-crafted cheese.
• Also: PUSH Productions hosts theme event Night Of Style. It’s both a fashionable happening at newly-opened cocktail lounge MG Road (19 Wall St.), and a gathering in honor of Ayoka Lucas, style director and visionary behind Charleston Fashion Week. ” Following nearly 10 years working with Charleston Magazine, Lucas now also offers a la carte styling services, fashion editorial production and styling, brand consultation, fashion event consultation, fashion commentary and style consultation,” says a press release.
Lucas was a guest speaker at the last Hatch Asheville event. According to press, she says, “I’m excited to develop new clientele in Asheville and look forward not only to working one-on-one with new clients, but also developing a relationship with the fashion community there!”
The event is open to the public (age 21 and up), first come, first served. There will be a specialty cocktail and “a red carpet experience for those attending to take photos, mingle with friends and truly enjoy a ‘Night of Style.’”
