For the past 30 years, the Western North Carolina Alliance has worked to protect our region’s water, forests and public lands. The group uses advocacy, scientific research and community collaboration as weapons against environmental degradation, and now it’s time to celebrate their efforts.
Asheville Affiliates will throw a party on the theme of A Night in the Forest, featuring 12 local musicians, food and drinks. On Thursday, Oct. 11 from 6-9 p.m., the Lift Studios in the River Arts District will be filled with the sounds of musicians including Chelsea Labate, Gregory Scott, Alex Krug, Ben Melton and many others.
Artwork by Daniel McClendon and photography of Jeffrey Rich will adorn the walls alongside raffle prizes, hors d’oeuvres by Colorful Palate Catering, beer from Catawba Valley Brewing and wine from Skyland Distributing.
