The 2014 WNCGBC Green Building Directory is available at locations around the Asheville area. The print copy of the directory is free and the guide is available online at no charge at wncgbc.org.
This year the directory is a partnership of the WNC Green Building Council and the Smoky Mountain News, according to an introduction to the directory from Maggie Leslie, director of WNCGBC.
“The publication is a primary tool for education, outreach and expansion of the green building industry in Western North Carolina,” Leslie says in the introduction. “It provides a free, non-biased resource of the latest information on green building to the general public and building professionals.”
Articles range from technical fact sheets to case studies and guides to green building basics.
Founded in 2001, the council — a promoter of environmentally sustainable and health conscious building practices through community education and innovative programs — has a long history impacting Western North Carolina.
