There’s a lot to be said about the Crazyhorse & Colston Official Birthday Smash taking place at The Grey Eagle on Friday, June 6. (9 p.m., $8 advance/$10 day of show.)
First, it’s a birthday party for both Max Hupertz (aka Crazyhorse) and Bryan Godleski (aka Colston). And while there may not be cake and balloons, there will be Crazyhorse & Colston’s trademark southern-friend take on hip-hop. Watch the duo’s new video for “Makeshift Spaceships” (featuring Hunter), filmed by Andrew Anderson and Samuel Robbins:
The night also includes a performance by local indie-rockers Antique Firearms who just dropped this bombshell on Facebook: “Some of you may have heard whisperings that the band might possibly be moving our homebase. After a lot of thought, sacrifice and planning we can now officially say that Antique Firearms will be moving to Los Angeles at the end of this year.”
While they still have a dozen regional shows booked between now at the end of September, June 6 will be one of only three more chances to catch Antique Firearms while its members still live here.
The show also serves as a signing party for Kidnice Entertainment and includes local artist Matt Anderson as well as Danielle Soul from Charlotte.
