In addition to its phenomenal lineup of musical performances, Moogfest offered a wealth of workshops, demonstrations and panel discussions. Experts, ranging from Bob Moog’s colleagues in the seminal days of synthesis to the more contemporary sound sculptors of today, came from around the country to share their ideas and vast experiences. Here’s a slideshow of photos taken from throughout the weekend’s educational events.

Who is this Zen Southerland?
Who are the panel of five older gents?
The five older gentlemen were part of the History Panel Discussion which included Herb Deutsch (co-collaborator on first Modular in 1963), Bill Hemseth, Dave Van Koevering (first salesman for Minimoog), and Tom Rhea (director of marketing at Moog Music) all of which had fascinating stories about the development of Moog synths.
