I am sick and tired of these people who carp about traffic calming. Don’t they know how to drive? There is worse in Asheville than planned curbing. Example: Druid Drive off Patton Avenue, at the rear entrance to the Post Office. The road narrows two feet, marked by a telephone pole just waiting for the less-than-able to ram it.
On the other side of this is Kansas City, Mo., known for its roundabouts—in both busy and residential areas—with year-round classical fountains. It’s a tourist attraction.
I was at the courthouse today, and College Street looked just fine. People, open your eyes and look where you are going!
