If anything, the vice-presidential debate showed that Gov. Sarah Palin can be well trained. But she’s no circus act; she’s a vice-presidential hopeful.
As a feminist, I was rooting for her. Unfortunately, her performance was more in line with a pageant contestant than a serious political candidate. It seems that her only skill is to look pretty while dodging the questions. And what she did say about extending vice-presidential powers will leave me with nightmares for weeks.
In the end, I’m afraid to say, winking at diplomats isn’t going to cut it. In a time of crisis, McCain has adopted a reckless let-them-eat-cake stance. I’m not attending this tea party.
