Tuesday, Oct. 9, is the primary election for the Asheville City Council election, and with a field of candidates this large, it could be a dramatic one.
Voters can choose up to three candidates for the three seats that will ultimately be filled. The top six vote getters will make it through the primary and into the general election, which will be held Nov. 6.
Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Don’t forget to vote!

The Ideal Candidate:

I wonder if anybody ever gave any thought to incorporating the county and annexing the city of Asheville just to give the sensible citizens of the area some relief from this constant carnival.
A good idea, Travelah, but better for the county if we just expel Asheville and each go our own way. 😉
My predictions for the city council race:
Winners: several of the fools listed above.
Losers: the people in the city of Asheville and its surrounding areas.
Once the polls close tonight, you can find election results online. Results are updated throughout the night.
