The Asheville Film Festival has announced five more features — Art of Suicide, Her Best Move, Murder Party, Wholetrain and Year of the Fish — that will play at this year’s festival, Nov. 8 to 11. They run the gamut from horror to family film to urban drama. See for yourself: here are the online trailers.
Brent Brooks’ Art of Suicide focuses on the struggles of a collective of bohemian artists searching for their big break and how far they’re willing to go to promote themselves.
Norm Hunter’s Her Best Move is a coming-of-age family film about soccer champion Sara Davis, who is pushed to choose between a social life and social stardom by her pro-coach father.
In Jeremy Saulnier’s Murder Party, a random windblown invitation leads a lonesome stranger into the hands of a deranged collective intent on murdering him for the sake of their art.
Hailing from Germany, Florian Gaag’s Wholetrain tells the story of the KSB crew, four graffiti artists fighting for fame and respect.
Year of the Fish, an animated feature shot on location in New York’s Chinatown and digitally repainted, updates the Cinderella story to the modern day.
