BookWorks in West Asheville is holding its annual exhibition of artist’s books, broadsides, original hand-printed posters and prints from Monday, Sept. 10, through Friday, Sept. 14. • It’s hard to believe that a serious nonprofit space could survive in a small town for 30 years, but the Upstairs [Artspace] in Tryon has done just that! Their board is already making plans to celebrate the gallery’s 30th anniversary in 2008.
