The Asheville Graduate Center is conducting a study to assess the needs of the local community for graduate classes. Dennis Cole, of the university’s Management and Accountancy Department, told Xpress, “Asheville businesses have reported concerns about getting the educated workforce that they require. Bachelor’s degree holders interested in helping out by making their views known.” The AGC survey is located here.
The AGC is administered by the UNC Asheville Office of Academic Affairs and is located on the UNCA campus. Established in 1984, the Center serves as a vehicle for delivering needed graduate programs to students in western North Carolina. More than 800 students participate in programs through the AGC.
Programs offered through the Graduate Center are provided by various universities within the University of North Carolina system and are part time with most classes meeting in the evenings.
