Pate says the acoustics caused by the concrete help him to hear the notes clearer. I don’t know about that. But there is something hauntingly beautiful about flute sounds in the wee morning hours on a deserted street.

A year ago March 21 the paper published a short and photo titled “Sunday’s lone flute” of Lee Pate by Jerry Nelson. If one of your journalist should pass Lee practicing clarity of notes at the underpass please say “Hello” from Charlie. Thanks.
