Although blogger Jay Joslin has had one of the more interesting local blogs, his Bird On The Moon has also suffered from a bit of an identity crisis. What, exactly, was it about? Politics? Writing? Spirituality? Personal insight? It was all of these, and none of them. It was almost like four separate, but highly interesting, blogs that all managed to have the same name.
In other words, it was confusing. Combine this with a unique, but not exactly user-friendly layout, and you’ve got a blog that, for a casual reader, could feel infuriatingly disjointed.
But no more. Joslin recently revamped the site, making it much more friendly to the typical reader. Check out the relaunched site here.

Yep, you’re totally right Steve. The last incarnation of BOTM was uttlerly schizophenic. I basically was experimenting, and we experiment in order to test theories. The theory of my last site design was, well, completely inexplicable. It must’ve been a late night, caffeine induced madness. But it’s passed, and yes indeed, if this blog were like the many incarnations of Dr. Who, this time it’s like Tom Baker. Get it? Tom Dalek-stomin’ monster-thwartin’ Tardis-crusin’ Baker. It’s just so good right now that I can’t picture the next incarnation, and don’t want to. Yes, I know I’m probably carrying a metaphor way beyond its capacity, but being back to blogging just has me juiced.
And thanks, good sir, for the write up!
