Singer/songwriter (and literary-Americana progenitor) Lucinda Williams returned to the Orange Peel last night. She’s currently on tour in support of Blessed, her 10th album which is being hailed by critics as some of her best work since her ‘98 Grammy-winning Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. Of the new record, Spin writes, “Blessed feels more like a country-blues toast to the pissed-off side of interpersonal relations, set to coproducer Don Was’ sturdy barroom roots rock.”
