At its June 10 meeting, the college’s board of trustees unanimously approved a plan to find a replacement for President Dennis King, who announced last month that he’ll be retiring in January. The new hire would start no later than July 1, 2020, but no earlier than February of that year.
“It would be really nice,” Parlamento says, “if somebody fell asleep at the show. I feel like that would be more appropriate to me than somebody talking during the show.”
The afternoon show at The Grey Eagle also includes the debut screening of of VIA’s short film Firefly. Girls Rock supporters are also invited to the camp’s showcase on June 22 at Salvage Station.
Pottery from Pompeii, solidified lava, Native American relics, “trophies of the seas,” and “the carnivorous lilies of North Carolina lowlands,” were among the items on display inside Ida Jolly Crawley’s House of Pan: Museum of Art and Archaeology.
