Opportunities to celebrate local Special Olympians and veterans of past wars are coming up this spring. And with the arrival of warmer weather, the city of Asheville provides tips on securing garbage to promote peaceful coexistence with Western North Carolina’s burgeoning bear population.
This time it’s a nearly-all-locals roundup, featuring Western N.C.-based experimental/improvisational music, jump blues/swing jazz and indie rock. The other act is an intriguing and original touring outfit.
The band will play The Town Pump in Black Mountain on Thursday, May 9; Sanctuary Brewing in Hendersonville on Friday, May 10; and One Stop on Thursday, June 13.
