Small bites: Cafe Yuzu celebrates its grand opening in the RAD
Café Yuzu will feature handmade treats by baker and owner Cynthia Pierce along with products from Vortex Doughnuts, French Broad Chocolates, OWL Bakery and Dobra Tea. Also, Fork & Knife hosts a Fourth of July event, Tiki Thursdays returns to Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian and Bone & Broth introduces its early-summer menu.
‘Forging Futures’ exhibition celebrates studio craft in WNC
The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design and Blue Spiral 1 team up again on the 10th anniversary that first survey of studio craft in the region. Forging Futures, an exhibition of 24 makers, opens on Thursday, June 29. Companion events including panel discussions, a lecture and a fundraiser run through Thursday, Aug. 17.
