Breaking: White Labs Inc. will expand the Asheville beer/wine scene
Less than 10 days into 2015, we have our first huge announcement on the beer scene: White Labs Inc. is building a new facility in Asheville. The company, known best for being “a world leader in fermentation sciences for the brewing and winemaking industries,” is acquiring a 26,000-square-foot building at 172 Charlotte St.
Rolling Stone: Black Mountain’s Anna Joyner is the ‘millennial face’ of biblical-based environmentalism
Joyner previously worked for the WNC Alliance and is currently working as a climate campaign consultant for the national We Are Here Now organization. She gained national attention last year for being featured in the “Years of Living Dangerously” Showtime documentary series that explored the challenges of climate change.
