‘Celebrate the Block’ fundraiser moves to Berry Temple church

Eagle Market Streets Development Corporation and Asheville Lyric Opera have moved the Celebrate the Block Friendraiser to the historic Berry Temple United Methodist Church. The event will feature a performance by gospel singer Audrey DuBois Harris.

Conscious Party: An auction for a neighbor in need

Buncombe County native Chris Spurrier was paralyzed in a car accident during his junior year of high school. He needs to purchase a specially modified van to continue his work in WNC. To help offset the cost of a new vehicle, Eblen Charities is sponsoring an auction that will include gift certificates to local establishments and a variety of local art and appliances.
