Xpress’ Twitter coverage of the Aug. 9 Asheville City Council meeting stated that eight choices for interviewees for the planning and zoning commission passed 6-1, with Mayor Terry Bellamy voting against. This was incorrect, due to confusion caused in the voice vote by a delay in Council member Esther Manheimer casting her vote via phone. The interviewee choices passed unanimously. Xpress regrets this error.
