Bootsy Collins at the Orange Peel
Bootsy Collins’ Wednesday night Orange Peel show was more of a funk showcase than a “we’ve got another album” tour: Collins played everything from the absolute classics, like the star’s own anthem, “Ahh… The Name Is Bootsy, Baby,” to several covers, including Sly & the Family Stone’s defining “I Want to Take you Higher.”
Montford Farmers Market opens on a sunny Wednesday afternoon
The Montford Farmers Market opened yesterday behind the Chamber of Commerce building at 36 Montford Ave. Shoppers can buy anything from scallops to bread to beer — and of course farm-fresh produce — at the market every Wednesday between 2 and 6 p.m.
