Judge rules that Parkside land cannot be used for private purposes
Earlier today, Judge Marlene Hyatt ruled that a piece of public parkland controversially sold to developer Stewart Coleman must remain in public use, though she did not change the ownership of the parcel.
Commissioners to consider $37 million in loans at Sep. 16 meeting
The Buncombe County Board of Commissioners may open a process to take out up to $37 million in loans, primarily to help finance the construction of a new parking deck and Human Services building. That item tops the agenda for the board’s Sept. 16 meeting.
