A lecture this Wednesday, Feb. 27, by Bob Moses, a civil-rights leader who organized the “Freedom Summer” voter registration drive in Mississippi and went on to found a successful program to help teach inner-city children algebra and math, will highlight a two-day summit this week on the importance of math literacy.
